Comments: The Child performed at our Wedding 2nd July 11 and delivered the performance of the millennium. The moment they started playing we had every guest come up to us to ask where we found them.
I had given Nick a list of carefully picked songs for the band to play, however, as he noticed what the crowd liked he changed a few of them for better suiting songs, which was great as the main thing was to keep the party going.
Everybody was up on their feet for the entire second set in particular, and it was like being at a mini festival!
The guys were very professional and Nick has a fantastic voice. The wedding was amazing in itself, and The Child topped all expectations!
Gemma at Alive Network was also very efficient and friendly, we were very impressed with the service received.

People who do were jumping 3 feet in the air to their favourite Killers tracks and the entire wedding party were on their feet until the very last song. Great musicians. Comments: The Child played at our wedding in May and were absolutely fantastic. I had heard them before at a friend's wedding and although I was expecting a great performance, they were even better than I remembered.
Do not hestiate to book this band- they are talented musicians and will make your night. They got everyone up on the dancefloor with two brilliant live sets and kept most people there all night.
As soon as we have another excuse for a party we will be booking them again!
Alive Network were also excellent. Very professional and responsive- they made the booking easy.

As for their music, they were amazing. A great range of songs to suit everyone and to say their talented is an understatement. Their music is outstanding. Comments: I found, from the outset, that Alive were the most professional looking and sounding entertainment network that I had come across. The immediate response and quality of service and advice was exceptional. My personal coordinator bent over backwards to help me which was exactly what I needed due to the very late notice that I had to organise the event. The Child were very friendly and professional, they arrived early, set up early and rocked the stage when the time came to do so. Performing to over 300 squaddies is no easy task, but they breezed it. Many thanks to Alive and The Child for making the night a massive success.

Our 130 guests ranging from 2 months to 90 years old had all travelled from London to Cornwall for it and so we wanted to make sure they had an evening to remember (including us and so we were anxious not to play cheese). We succeeded as The Child had everyone up dancing until the end (Brides be warned you will need your bridesmaids to bring pumps as my stilettos meant I had to rob the shoes from my Mother's feet half way through the evening!).
It was amazing and everyone has commented how great they were, and how they are the best band they have ever enjoyed at a wedding. Our only regret is that the hotel wouldn't let the music play past midnight as everyone was still on their feet at the end of the night.

Just a quick note by way of thanks for the booking I made for The Child for our Officers Mess Christmas Draw here at RAF Marham on Dec 12.
Nick was very easy to deal with in advance of the day and I was reassured that I had made a good decision in booking The Child.
Quite simply, in my 22 years in the Royal Air Force, The Child are the best band I have ever heard play at an RAF function. Nick is a simply brilliant lead singer and the musicians that accompanied him on the night were fantastic, - the lead guitarist was outstanding. Their cover versions and original material was played quite brilliantly throughout both sets and I would not hesitate to book them again. I spent a significant amount of time searching for a band that would do justice to the quality of function that I was organising and I was well rewarded for this effort. Comments: Alive Network were great, a fast response and always quick to answer queries right up to the event date. Whilst we were looking at bands under our won criteria thanks to Becky's personal recommendation of The Child we had a band that truly rocked our wedding celebrations.
The Child were an awesome tour de force that kept the dancers young and old going all night. Not only were their covers exceptional we were delighted to have them play some of their original tracks. Nick is an exceptionally talented and committed band leader and musician whilst Glauco on lead guitar stunned our guests with a virtuoso magic fingerered solos and the sight of him playing the intro riff to the pulp fiction sound track is now permanently etched in my mind. All our guests raved about The Child on the evening, praise indeed as there are some hardcore party and concert goers amongst them. Together The Child have left a lasting memory and a striking end to a magical day.
Thank you to everyone involved......and we might start learning to play the guitar now!

Just a quick note to let you know quite how good this band are. They made the evening. Seriously.
We had 150 people from all over Britain (and a few other places too) descend on a little valley in Wales for our wedding on September 13th. It was a wonderful day and that was before the evening's entertainment started. Then it just got better.
The Child were quite amazing. Every cover that they did sounded EXACTLY like the real version; the Killers, the Strokes, etc and they turned our dancefloor into a scene from a festival. Everyone who was there commented that they were extra special and can't believe that they are a wedding band available to hire. Watch this space, because they won't be for long.
To top it off, their administration was also perfect. The way Nick got in contact with us to decide songs, let us know they were on their way, make sure that they had adequate electrical support, and all the other bits that are necessary to make the night great was spot on. A very well managed bunch of guys. Nick is a great person who we look forward to supporting in the future at their gigs in london, etc.

It's hard to describe just how brilliant The Child were for our wedding.
I'll start by saying that they were friendly, professional and very helpful in the lead up to our wedding. The band were willing to travel all the way to Cornwall, do 4 sets, including 2 acoustic, instead of 2 (total nearly 4 hours playing), and went into the studio to learn over 30 new songs for our big day. That is dedication.
The music on the day was brilliant beyond all expectations. I was pleasantly surprised to see that The Child are all proper musicians, and had sheet music to read from rather than just learning the chords. The result was pitch perfect music, and versions of songs that were in many cases better than the originals!
Music was crucial to my wife and I for our big day, and the set The Child performed was so amazing that its one of our overriding memories. It had everyone singing, everyone crying to the slow songs, everyone dancing to floor fillers. In many ways it has become the soundtrack for our lives. I will finish by saying that nearly every card we received afterwards said that 'that was the best wedding we have ever been to, and that was by far the best band'. We are so very grateful for The Child helping make our wedding such a special day."

The band we had for our original booking split up three weeks before the wedding. Nightmare!!! Gemma @ Alive found another band called The Child. And wow we are glad she found them!!!!!! They absolutely ROCKED the wedding with a set of corkers. The dancefloor was packed for the entire two hours and during I Predict A Riot, it was sheer madness.
What a band! They learnt a few new songs for us, stayed in contact and more importantly delivered a blinder!
If you want a good party then The Child is the band you need.
